A real IPO step—not a completed listing
Anthropic, the artificial-intelligence company behind Claude, announced on October 26 that it filed a Form S-1 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for a proposed initial public offering of Class A common stock. The company intends to list on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol ANT.

The biggest numbers circulating around the deal need a different label. Reuters reports that Anthropic has sought to raise as much as $100 billion and that some current and prospective investors value the company at approximately $1.5 trillion, down from earlier expectations of about $2 trillion.
